CBM Star of Hope Hospital is a participating hospital of the Council of Christian Hospitals, an autonomous body of the Convention of Baptist Churches of Northern Circars. The CBM Star of Hope Hospital is located in Akiveedu, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The CBM Star of Hope Hospital was founded by the Canadian Baptist Mission in 1898〔James Elisha Taneti, ''Canadian Baptist mission work among women in Andhra, India, 1874-1924: Baptist women evolved a role for themselves in an otherwise male-dominated mission enterprise and a patriarchal Telugu society.''
